As a complete show, the 2016 Royal Rumble started strong and lost some steam as it went along. As a match, it seemed reminiscent of years past, which isn’t always a good thing.

Predictions are made and a fatal four way tag team match is held to determine two of the spots in the Royal Rumble match.
A pretty good final stop before the Rumble with some pretty good matches.
This show felt a lot like the previous RAW in that not much new ground was covered, but there were still enough fun segments to make it an entertaining show.
This was a week to build up the number one contenders. The matches weren’t surprising, but they were pretty good nonetheless.
This week Main Event is bookended by two decent tag matches with a very nice, aggressive, quick match between Neville and Breeze in the middle.
As the last RAW before the Royal Rumble, this show felt a little like treading water, but one segment in particular made for an interesting lead-in to one of the most fun events of the year.
Tyler Breeze and Jack Swagger make up for their not-so-great match last week with a much better rematch.
A few nice happenings and a good rematch for the US Title make this a Smackdown worth watching.
The first Full Sail NXT of 2016 set up some possible new directions for its singles title holders, but the show itself got NXT off to a slow start for the year.
Main Event this week had some nice matches and made a good case for a tag team that could have some potential for a move to the main shows.
