Match 1
Starlight Kid vs Natsuko Tora vs Kaori Yoneyama
(referee: Daichi Murayama)
Result: Natsuko Tora pins Starlight Kid after a swinging side slam
Time: 5:27
Match Thoughts
A pretty good opener. It was fun, and there were a few neat moments where all three women had each other in a hold or where they were trading moves.
Match 2
Sumire Natsu & Hana Kimura (Goddess Champ) vs Shiki Shibusawa & Tam Nakano
(referee: Barb Sasaki)
Result: Sumire Natsu pins Shiki Shibusawa after a package DDT
Time: 7:26
Match Thoughts
Good match. Kimura is still very angry at Nakano, and the two of them had to be pulled apart before the match started. Osaka is Natsu’s hometown, so she started the match with Shibusawa. The fight made it out to the floor early in the match, and Oedo Tai was able to control things from then on. Shibusawa took the brunt of the beating, but both she and Nakano had a very hard time with Kimura and Natsu. This was a strong showing for Oedo Tai.
Match 3
Miranda & Bea Priestly & Nicole Savoy (Shimmer Champ) vs Jungle Kyona & Xia Brookside (IPW:UK Women’s Champ) vs Toni Storm (Progress Women’s Champ, SWA Champ, World of Stardom Champ)
(referee: Daichi Murayama)
Result: the match ends in a Time Limit Draw
Time: 15:00
Match Thoughts
Good match. I liked all the different combinations of match-ups here. Kyona and Savoy were the only ones that really had any sort of rivalry going on, and the were kept apart for most of the match. Everyone else seemed to fight everyone else though, and that led to a lot of different types of segments in the match. This was fun, though I’m a little surprised they went to the full time limit.
Match 4
Konami & Hiromi Mimura vs Momo Watanabe & Io Shirai (Artist, Wonder Champ)
(referee: Barb Sasaki)
Result: Io Shirai forces Hiromi Mimura to submit to a Texas cloverleaf
Time: 10:03
Match Thoughts
Good match. Mimura wanted to prove something by going against Shirai in this match and that didn’t go so well for Mimura at first. Shirai basically shrugged off Mimura for a lot of the match. Watanabe and Konami had a good fight that involved a lot of kicks, and that was the more evenly contested part of the match. Late in the match, Mimura did manage to catch Shirai with a few moves (with some help from Konami), but the ace of Stardom was too much for her. I’m not a huge fan of Mimura, but I think her shtick worked pretty well in this match.
Match 5
ROH Women of Honor Title Tournament First Round Match
Jenny Rose vs Kagetsu (Goddess Champ) w/ Hana Kimura (Goddess Champ), Sumire Natsu
(referee: Daichi Murayama)
Result: Kagetsu wins via pinfall after the Oedo Coaster
Time: 8:37
Match Thoughts
Good match. Rose seemed to be the more powerful of the two, but Kagestu used her speed (and her friends) to keep the advantage for most of this match. The winner of this wasn’t much of a surprise to me, but I liked the match fine. It had a good finish.
Match 6
ROH Women of Honor Title Tournament First Round Match
HZK (Artist Champ) vs Mayu Iwatani
(referee: Barb Sasaki)
Result: Mayu Iwatani wins via pinfall with a bridging dragon suplex
Time: 11:48
Match Thoughts
Very good match. Both women started fast and strong. There were some very hard kicks and strikes thrown by both women, and it seemed like they both really wanted this win. HZK pushed Iwatani harder than Iwatani might have expected, and that made for an exciting match.
Show Impressions
This definitely felt like a smaller show, but I liked it.
Match of the Night
Mayu Iwatani vs HZK
This felt like the most competitive and fast-paced match of the night.
