Video
Clips of NXT taking over SmackDown last week.

Intro Video
“Are You Ready” by AC/DC

Ring Area
King Corbin heads to the ring. He talks about NXT taking over last week, and puts the blame on Roman Reigns. Corbin insults the size of Reigns’s testicles, and he shows an animated video of a barking dog. He also talks about poop. It’s very boring and dumb.

Backstage
Kayla Braxton asks Big E and Kofi Kingston about Xavier Woods. Big E had some advice for Woods: don’t drop the soap. Kofi reminds Big E that Woods isn’t in jail, he’s recovering from an injury. Kofi also says that New Day will become seven-time tag champs tonight.

Match 1
SmackDown Tag Team Title Match
Kofi Kingston & Big E vs The Revival (SD Tag Champs)
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kofi Kingston pins Dash Wilder after Trouble in Paradise
Time: 5:40 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. The advantage went back and forth with a few big sequences of sustained offense by both teams, and overall this was a very evenly fought match. For a match of this importance I wish it had been built up a little more and had been a little longer, but it was still a pretty fun match.

Backstage
Roman Reigns has arrived at the arena, and he is greeted by Shorty G.

Backstage
Sami Zayn wants to speak with Daniel Bryan. Zayn doesn’t blame Bryan for not standing with him and Nakamura, but if he had, Bryan would now be the NXT champ. Bryan just doesn’t understand what Zayn can do for Bryan’s career. Just ask Nakamura and Cesaro what Zayn has done for them. Better yet, watch tonight as Cesaro and Nakamura team up tonight because of Sami Zayn.

Ring Area
Heavy Machinery comes out for a match, but they are attacked in the ring by Imperium. After a few seconds, Kofi Kingsto, Big E, Apollo Crews, Ali, and Shorty G run out and chase Imperium out of the ring.

Backstage
Kayla Braxton welcomes Sasha Banks and Bayley. Bayley says Shayna Baszler is just trying to be relevant by attacking Bayley last week. The women of NXT will always live in the shadows of Bayley and Sasha.

Match 2
Shinsuke Nakamura (IC Champ) w/ Sami Zayn & Cesaro vs Ali & Shorty G
(referee: Danilo Anfibio; watching from the stage: Daniel Bryan)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura pins Ali after Kinshasa
Time: 4:09

Match Thoughts
Good match. All four guys are great, and they all put on a short, entertaining match. Nakamura and Cesaro mostly dominated the match, though they did get a little help from Zayn in the form of a distraction.

Backstage
Nikki Cross smiles as she walks.

Match 3
Sasha Banks vs Nikki Cross
(referee: Dan Engler; guest commentary: Bayley)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Sasha Banks wins via submission with the Bank Statement
Time: 6:37 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. Nikki was a bit too preoccupied with Bayley for this match to be completely competitive, it was still fun.

Ring Area
After the match, Bayley attacks Nikki Cross. As Bayley attacks, Shayna Baszler rushes in and attacks Bayley. Baszler hits Bayley with a gutwrench side slam before leaving back through the crowd.

Backstage
Sami Zayn tells Daniel Bryan that he should have celebrated with Nakamura and Cesaro after their match. Zayn thinks Bryan’s mind is already made up, and he wants Bryan to say what he has to say. Suddenly, the lights go out. A red light comes on, and The Fiend is there. The Fiend attacks Daniel Bryan as Zayn runs away.

Video
Clips of Tyson Fury versus Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel.

Ring Area
Tyson Fury heads to the ring. He’s glad to be home, but he has some unfinished business with Braun Strowman. Strowman heads to the ring, and Tyson Fury thanks him for their fight. They shake hands, and Fury thinks that if they ever compete again, it should be as a tag team. Strowman likes the sound of that.

The B-Team heads to the ring. Bo Dallas says the “B” in B-Team stands for “fearless.” Dallas and Axel then get run over by Strowman. Fury punches Dallas, and Strowman powerslams Axel.

Match 4
Fire & Desire vs Dana Brooke & Carmella
(referee: Charles Robinson; stipulation: the winning team joins Team SmackDown at Survivor Series)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Dana Brooke pins Sonya Deville after a front-flip senton from the ropes
Time: 3:58

Match Thoughts
The match was quite short, but Dana Brooke was quite impressive. I think she still has trouble getting from sequence to sequence smoothly, but she has a good offensive arsenal. She’s fun to watch, and she looked good teaming with Carmella tonight.

Match 5
Roman Reigns vs King Corbin
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: King Corbin wins via pinfall after End of Days (and a distraction from Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler)
Time: 8:41 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
This was fine. It was Corbin versus Reigns. It was fine.

Show Impressions
I did not like the first or last segments, but I enjoyed everything else.

Match of the Night
New Day vs The Revival
All the matches except for the main event were pretty short, but the tag title match was maybe the most fun.
