Video
Last week, King Corbin said some stuff and beat Roman Reigns.

Intro Video
“Are You Ready” by AC/DC

Ring Area
King Corbin is carried to the ring in a sedan chair. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode meet Corbin in the ring and hand him a microphone. Corin talks about the responsibilities it takes to be a good king and a good leader. He thinks Reigns is not a good leader, and he is just a shell of the man he once was. As king, Corbin declares that he is now the captain of team SmackDown for Survivor Series. As captain, Corbin sees two weak links on his team, and he intends to rectify that situation tonight.

Dolph Ziggler says the only reason Ali and Shorty G are on team SmackDown is because they’re friends with Reigns. Roode agrees. Ziggler says tonight he and Roode will beat Shorty G and Ali and take their spots on the team.

Corbin would like to invite “the big dog” to the ring to watch the action. Reigns’s music plays, but his graphic is replaced with a cartoon chihuahua. Tiny dog barks are also added to the sing. A guy in a dog costume and a Reigns vest comes out and heads to the ring. Everyone in the ring thinks it’s very funny. No one else thinks the same way though.

Match 1
Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode vs Shorty G & Ali
(referee: Dan Engler; stipulation: if Roode and Ziggler win, they’ll take G and Ali’s place on team SmackDown)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Ali pins Dolph Ziggler after a 450 splash
Time: 9:13 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. Reigns came down to ringside partway through the match to counteract the inevitable interference from Corbin. SO besides a minor distraction late in the match when Reigns beat up Corbin at ringside, the four men in the match were able to just focus on each other. Both teams looked good, but Shorty G and Ali had better teamwork tonight. This was fun.

Firefly Fun House
Bray Wyatt thinks something is wrong with the Universal Title, so he turns it blue. He’s also looking forward to Miz TV with Daniel Bryan tonight. Wyatt will be watching, and so will “he.”

Backstage
Roode and Ziggler are upset that they aren’t on team SmackDown. King Corbin says he’ll fix it. Corbin and the dog mascot walk away.

Ring Area
Braun Strowman heads to the ring where Drew Gulak and the B-Team are waiting for him. Gulak explains what would happen if he were to replace Strowman at Survivor Series with a short PowerPoint presentation. Gulak says Strowman has a lot left to learn and sticks his finger in Strowman’s face. Strowman gets physical, so Gulak and the B-Team attack him. Strowman starts to get an advantage, so Gulak leaves the ring. The B-Team doesn’t leave the ring, and they get beat up.

Backstage
Kayla Braxton asks Big E and Kofi Kingston if they’re prepared to face The Revival even though Xavier Woods isn’t with them. They say Woods is always with them even if he isn’t physically in the arena.

Backstage
Sami Zayn tells Daniel Bryan that he needs an answer from Bryan tonight about whether or not he’ll join Zayn and Nakamura. Bryan says if Zayn is a man of his word and has Bryan’s back, then why did Zayn run when The Fiend attacked him last week. Zayn makes excuses. Daniel Bryan says he doesn’t need Zayn’s help, and he’s not joining Zayn’s group.

Bryan says Zayn should recruit Strowman. Zayn thinks that’s stupid, then he sees that Strowman is standing right beside him. Zayn backpedals and walks away.

Match 2
SmackDown Tag Team Title Match
The Revival vs Big E & Kofi Kingston (SD Tag Champs)
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: New Day wins via DQ when Adam Cole and Roderick Strong attack Kofi Kingston
Time: 7:28 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Even though this was all building up to the post-match shenanigans, I still felt like we got a full, good title match. It built up to the final sequences nicely, and I enjoyed how the advantage shifted back and forth a few times.

Ring Area
After the match, the entire Undisputed Era attacks both New Day and The Revival. Undisputed Era gets in a few really good shots before some other SmackDown superstars (Heavy Machinery, Heath Slater, Apollo Crews, Lucha House Party) run out and chase them away.

Match 3
Heavy Machinery vs Kevin Tibbs & Kip Stevens
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Otis pins Kip Stevens after the Compacter
Time: 2:17

Match Thoughts
Squash.

Backstage
Kayla Braxton welcomes Bayley and Sasha Banks. Bayley says Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler won’t look at her as an afterthought anymore. And tonight, she will delight in crushing Nikki Cross’s dreams. Banks doesn’t think Nikki deserves to be on team SmackDown.

Match 4
Nikki Cross vs Bayley (SD Women’s Champ)
(referee: Jason Ayers; stipulation: if Nikki Cross wins, she’ll join team SmackDown)

Show/Hide Results

Result: the match ends in a No Contest when women from NXT show up and interrupt the match
Time: 0:56

Match Thoughts
This barely got started before female superstars from NXT showed up and attacked Bayley.

Ring Area
After the match, Shayna Baszler enters the ring as Tegan Nox, Rhea Ripley, Dakota Kai, and Mia Yim approach Bayley at ringside. Sasha Banks attacks Baszler. The NXT superstars enter the ring, but so do Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Carmella, Tamina, and Dana Brooke. A big brawl erupts in the ring while Shayna dumps Bayley over into the crowd.

The SmackDown superstars clear the ring, but Banks invites four of the NXT women to come back to the ring for a match.

Match 5
Sasha Banks & Nikki Cross & Dana Brooke & Carmella vs Rhea Ripley & Tegan Nox & Dakota Kai & Mia Yim
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Nikki Cross pins Dakota Kai after a swinging neckbreaker
Time: 6:33 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. This was understandably chaotic, and it was a lot of fun. I think NXT had a great showing. Rhea Ripley and Tegan Nox in particular stood out the most in this match. I also really enjoyed the sequence between Ripley and Banks. That could be a great one on one match sometime in the future.

Ring Area
After the match, the women brawl once again. Deville, Rose, and Tamina run join to join the brawl, and SmackDown quickly clears NXT from the ring.

Backstage
Daniel Bryan walks.

Ring Area
The Miz heads to the ring or Miz TV. His guest tonight, Daniel Bryan, heads to the ring. Miz asks Bryan why The Fiend attacked him, but Bryan says nothing. Miz answers his own question by wondering who Daniel Bryan is now. Is he the old Daniel Bryan or the new Daniel Bryan? Miz says The Fiend sees that Bryan is washed up, and he wants to end Daniel Bryan.

Bryan says he was quiet just now because Miz TV sucks and has always sucked. But Miz is right, Bryan is not the man he used to be. One thing remains though: passion. Miz doesn’t understand the gravity of his passion combined with his mental instability. No one understands except for Bray Wyatt. Is Wyatt or The Fiend in control? No one knows. Bryan says there is no one better to fight a mentally unstable person than another mentally unstable person.

Suddenly, Bray Wyatt appears on the screen. Wyatt says maybe The Fiend attacked Bryan to scare him. Maybe he attacked to remind Bryan of what he did. Or maybe The Fiend just wants to play. The Universal Title is Wyatt’s favorite new toy. If Bryan wants to come play, he just has to say one magical word. Bryan says “no.” Abby the Witch says “yes.” Bryan says “no.” Mercy the Buzzard says “yes.” Bryan says “no.” Huskus the Pig Boy says “yes.” Bryan says “no.” Rambling Rabbit says “yes.” Bryan says “no.”

Bryan won’t be manipulated by Wyatt and his puppets. If Wyatt wants to fight, they should fight for the Universal Title. Wyatt says “yes.”

Show Impressions
This was a pretty good show. I enjoyed the NXT stuff on this episode, and the matches were fun.

Match of the Night
Banks & Cross & Brooke & Carmells vs Ripley & Nox & Kai & Yim
This was the most fun match of the night for me. It had a nice finish, and seeing these eight women interact was great.
