RAW Recap & Review – “The Beast Rules Raw”
This week’s RAW was a decent show that had some interesting developments and a few really good matches.
This week’s RAW was a decent show that had some interesting developments and a few really good matches.
A predictable show with mostly predictable matches (though Kalisto versus Neville stood out), but it’s a good watch.
The return of the Rock and AJ Styles versus Chris Jericho highlight a good followup to the Royal Rumble.
As a complete show, the 2016 Royal Rumble started strong and lost some steam as it went along. As a match, it seemed reminiscent of years past, which isn’t always a good thing.
As the last RAW before the Royal Rumble, this show felt a little like treading water, but one segment in particular made for an interesting lead-in to one of the most fun events of the year.
This week’s RAW featured more of the same for the most part, but there were a few highlights spread throughout the show.
Witness the birth of a new tag team, the Golden Truth!
The first Smackdown of 2016 and the first Smackdown on USA featured two title matches and had a pretty important feeling. It started off the year of Smackdown right with some good action, fun moments, and promising developments.
Main Event closes out 2015 with another good set of matches and a standout main event.
The last RAW of 2015 saw the much-needed return of John Cena. Did he help make the show a memorable one? Also, the Rumble starts on this show, Reigns continues to stand around while stuff happens, and Kofi wants to fight children.
The 2015 Slammy Awards are given out in a fairly entertaining show even if it was a little disappointing for a few reasons.
In the aftermath of TLC, some dumb, dumb decisions were made by some people in power. But there was also a bit of nostalgia for the city of Philadelphia and some furthering of rivalries. Clearly, TLC did nothing to settle anything.
What was started on RAW continues on Smackdown with Sheamus’ League of Nations and a gimmick-filled, overstuffed main event story line.
This week’s episode includes Adam Rose versus R-Truth and The Miz versus Zack Ryder in an okay, but unremarkable show.
With a surprisingly strong Miz TV to start the show but some unfortunately short matches, this Smackdown is a pretty good, but not fantastic, lead in to Survivor Series.
Classic “good news, bad news” situation here. The good news: Divas highlight the main event segment. Bad news: it’s a contract signing.
There’s more good news than bad with this show though. There’s some really good wrestling, specifically in the matches for the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
January 3, 2014 Washington, D.C. Video The Wyatt’s interrupt the feed and we see a quick video recap of Daniel Bryan joining the Family.
