Match Thoughts
Very good match. This was a fun re-introduction to the ROH Women’s Division. All four women looked good in this match, and there were a lot of fun exchanges. Being the first match back for the division, this felt like somewhat of an exhibition just so we can get to know a little bit about the four debuting women competing. The was no definitive finish, but that’s fine. The action was good, and everyone’s personality came out to a certain degree.

Hyan was maybe the most quiet in the match. She didn’t seem to be in the match as much as everyone else, but I’m sure we’ll see more of her later. Max the Impaler definitely stood out with her look and her powerhouse style. She seems to be one of those wrestlers who doesn’t really get along with anyone, and that was shown by her using Rok-C as a weapon (without Rok-C’s consent) late in the match. Laynie Luck is fun, and despite me rolling my eyes as some of her goofiness, her technical exchanges with Rok-C offset the silliness in my eyes. Rok-C seemed like the best all-around competitor in tonight’s match. Rok-C was quick on her feet and quick with her counters. She had some really nice technical exchanges with Laynie Luck, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing where Rok-C goes from here.

Show Impressions
I’m very happy to see the ROH women getting a chance to shine once again, and I’m very much looking forward to the road to crowning a new champion. This was a very nice first step in that direction.
