Match 1
Will Ospreay vs Jay Lethal
(referee: Todd Sinclair; guest commentary: Marty Scurll)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jay Lethal wins via pinfall after a Lethal Injection
Time: 11:28 (2 breaks)

Match Thoughts
Great match. Both men unleashed some hard strikes and more than a few dives. There were some great sequences and reversals, a few of the better ones involving both men’s penchant for using a cutter. This final few minutes of this match were great, building up to a series of devastating moves that made the finish emphatic and exciting.

Backstage
Caprice Coleman welcomes Jonathan Gresham to Coleman’s Pulpit. Coleman asks Gresham about his wrestling style and why he’s not winning many matches. Gresham says he’s mastered his own style, and he’s thinking about getting new rules instated so he can showcase pro wrestling in its original form. Coleman seems confused and condescending.

Match 2
Kenny King vs Brian Milonas
(referee: Mike Posey)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kenny King wins via pinfall after a springboard Blockbuster
Time: 3:52

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Milonas is huge so he didn’t move around much, but King looked good. This was mostly about getting a good showing for Kenny King, and I think it accomplished that.

Ring Area
After the match, Kenny gets on the mic and calls out Silas Young. Silas heads to the ring and the two men brawl. Silas gets knocked down and quickly exits the ring. Beer City Bruiser comes out to check on Silas. As Kenny is distracted, Milonas attacks him from behind. Milonas, Silas, and Bruiser all team up to attack King, and the commentators wonder if Milonas is the mystery tag partner Bruiser was referring to last week.

Ring Area
The Addiction and Scorpio Sky are in the ring. Together, they are SoCal Uncensored. ROH C.O.O. Joe Koff comes out to the stage and says Daniels and Kazarian are disruptive. Koff says he should fire them. Daniels says Koff won’t fire them because he knows people with powerful friends. Koff says Daniels’ and Kazarian’s contracts are only good for one more year, so Final Battle 2018 will be their last appearance in ROH.

Backstage
The Briscoes want the tag titles back.

Match 3
Matt Taven & Vinny Marseglia & TK O’Ryan vs The Boys & Dalton Castle (ROH World Champ)
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Dalton Castle forces Vinny Marseglia to tap to the Julie Newmar
Time: 10:22 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
This was fun. I think it went about like you’d expect, with The Boys getting in trouble against The Kingdom and Castle coming in and cleaning up. It was well done though.

Show Impressions
I liked this show. It was almost all about the matches. The segment with SoCal Uncensored seemed a little strange to me. It’s odd to start a story in modern pro wrestling that won’t have a payoff for nearly a year.

Match of the Night
Will Ospreay vs Jay Lethal
The main event was good too, but Ospreay and Lethal had more excitement in my opinion.
