Match 1
Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan vs Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel
(referee: )

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kenny Williams pins Fabian Aichner with a schoolboy
Time: 7:59

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This was a great battle between the speed and agility of Williams and Jordan, and the power and technique of Aichner and Barthel. This was a lot of fun to watch, and considering the finish, I expect we’ll see this match again in the future.

Backstage
Radzi asks Rhea Ripley about the arrival of Piper Niven. Ripley says she went easy on Niven last week since it was her first night on NXT UK, but Ripley is going to turn Niven’s dream into a nightmare.

Backstage
Johnny Saint and Sid Scala talk about the WWE UK Title being defended at Takeover: New York when Jordan Devlin walks up. Devlin wants to know why Walter gets to skip the line and be handed a title shot when Jordan Devlin, the man who pushed Pete Dunne further than anyone, doesn’t get that opportunity. Scala says he understands Devlin’s position, but the contract has already been signed. Devlin says okay, but he’s going to be watching Takeover very, very closely.

Match 2
Isla Dawn vs Kay Lee Ray
(referee: DA Brewer)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kay Lee Ray wins via pinfall after a Gory bomb
Time: 4:54

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Ray came into the match with a ton of confidence, and that confidence was justified when she quickly started to dominate Dawn. Dawn had a difficult time figuring out how to deal with Ray, but Dawn did eventually mount a quick burst of offense late in the match. Ray was rocked, but she came back quickly to finish the match. I really enjoyed how explosive Ray is with her offense. She usually stacks moves in quick combinations, and it’s impressive to watch.

Backstage
Radzi welcomes Toni Storm. As Storm begins to speak, Jinny runs up and attacks her. Jinny takes Storm down and yells that the title is hers. Jinny walks away as Storm is attended to.

Selfie Promo
Travis Banks says he used to look up to Kassius Ohno, but look at him now. Banks invites Ohno to face him in the ring if he has something he wants to prove.

Ring Area
The Grizzled Young Veterans head to the ring. Gibson says he is not yet cleared to compete, but he and Drake still stand n front of everyone as the NXT UK Tag Team Champs. Gibson wants to address the people saying that he and Drake have a chip on their shoulders. They do have a chip on their shoulders, and it’s because they are tired of the fans supporting the wrong superstars. That’s why they went to Takeover: Blackpool and took their rightful spot as the tag champs.

Gibson also questions why people would say that Williams and Jordan deserve a title shot after one lucky win. They don’t deserve a shot, and everyone now has to answer to Gibson and Drake. Soon, they will be the most important champs in all of WWE.

Match 3
Trent Seven vs Joe Coffey w/ Mark Coffey, Wolfgang
(referee: Joel Allen)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Joe Coffey wins via submission with a Boston Crab
Time: 14:11

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This was a very hard-hitting battle. Seven had more heart tonight, but Coffey had more resilience. While both men were throwing big, heavy shots at each other, Seven’s back began to give him a lot of trouble. The pain hurt Seven’s offense, and it left him susceptible to Coffey’s plan of attack. Coffey managed to outlast Seven while fully capitalizing on Seven’s injury. I liked this match very much.

Video
A look at the upcoming UK Title match between the champ Pete Dunne and the challenger Walter.

Show Impressions
I really enjoyed this episode. All three matches were highly entertaining, and the story segments all did what they needed to do.

Match of the Night
Trent Seven vs Joe Coffey
It seems as if Trent Seven is going to be one of those guys who helps build up other guys. I wonder if Seven will get his chance at the top of the NXT UK mountain at some point.
