Match 1
Tyler Breeze vs Jaxson Ryker w/ Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Tyler Breeze wins via pinall with a wheelbarrow victory roll
Time: 3:23

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Jaxson Ryker dominated most of the match with some slow offense, then Breeze found some openings near the end of this short match. This whole match really just seemed like a setup for the post-match shenanigans.

Ring Area
After the match, all three of the Forgotten Sons beat up Tyler Breeze. After a few seconds, Fandango walks out and helps Breeze clear the ring. Breeze and Fandango hug as the Forgotten Sons back away up the ramp.

Outside the Venue
Candice LeRae waits in the parking lot. Presumably she’s waiting for Io Shirai.

Match 2
NXT Breakout Tournament Semifinal Match
Bronson Reed vs Cameron Grimes
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Cameron Grimes wins via pinfall after a leaping double stomp
Time: 5:55

Match Thoughts
Good match. Reed’s size allowed him to dominate the first part of this match. Grimes couldn’t figure out how to take Reed down, and Reed was able to do a lot of damage while Grimes tried to figure out the best way to attack. Late in the match, Grimes started hitting some strikes that built up and gave Grimes a chance at a comeback.

Video
Earlier today, Matt Riddle challenged Killian Dain to face him in a match.

Ring Area
Shayna Baszler heads to the ring. Baszler says she got Mia Yim’s message. However, Yim’s attacks on Duke and Shafir are things that professional athletes don’t do. Baszler will put Yim to sleep, because street rats don’t survive long in her world.

Mia Yim comes out to the stage and heads to the ring. Yim asks Baszler if she’s scared. Yim says she has nothing to lose and everything to gain, so she’s going to bring a fight that Baszler isn’t ready for. Baszler tells Yim that everyone is going to see that she is nothing but street trash.

Outside the Venue
William Regal tells Candice LeRae that he told Io Shirai to not show up tonight. LeRae wants a match with Shirai, so he gives her one for Takeover. Regal then asks LeRae to go home.

Match 3
Roderick Strong vs Pete Dunne
(referee: Drake Wuertz)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Pete Dunne wins via submission by snapping Strong’s fingers
Time: 16:01

Match Thoughts
Great match. They was these guys wrestled, it felt like there was real animosity. They were hitting each other really hard, sometimes in messy, realistic-looking exchanges. The match went back and forth all the way to the end, and it was super fun all the way through. I question the legality of the move that ended the match, but I suppose there are worse things that have come to be legal in WWE matches over the years.

Ring Area
After the match, Velveteen Dream sneaks into the ring. Strong yells at Dream before leaving the ring. Dream poses, but Dunne grabs Dream by the fingers before hitting him with the Bitter End.

Show Impressions
This was a fun show. Seeing Fandango back was great, the Breakout match was good, and the main event was extremely good.

Match of the Night
Roderick Strong vs Pete Dunne
This was great, and the next time we’ll see these two guys wrestle will be with Velveteen Dream added in. I cant wait!
