Match 1
Faboo Andre & D3 vs The Butcher & The Blade w/ Eddie Kingston
(referee: Bryce Remsburg)

Show/Hide Results

Result: The Butcher pins D3 after a snap suplex (The Butcher) into a lung blower (The Blade)
Time: 3:35

Match Thoughts
A good squash. The Butcher and The Blade looked angry and violent as they destroyed Andre and D3.

Match 2
Red Velvet vs Allie w/ QT Marshall, Brandi Rhodes
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Allie wins via pinfall after Down the Rabbit Hole
Time: 4:20

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Red Velvet frustrated the always angry and annoyed Allie, but Allie came back in the end.

Match 3
Zack Clayton vs Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana w/ Alan Angels, Preston Vance, Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds
(referee: Bryce Remsburg)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Colt Cabana wins via pinfall after a discus lariat
Time: 4:20

Match Thoughts
Good match. Zack Clayton was a prop in this, because the match was really all about Colt Cabana and his place within Dark Order. Cabana wanted some friendly competition, but the Dark Order members at ringside weren’t having any of that. Dark Order repeatedly pulled Cabana aside and talked to him. They showed disapproval with Cabana at first, but they started to applaud him as he got more vicious (and Cabana seemed to enjoy the power and adulation).

Backstage
Dasha Gonzalez asks Peter Avalon and Leva Bates if The Initiative is over. Avalon says he is done with Brandon Cutler. Avalon is tired of being called “enhancement talent.” He enhances the whole show, and it’s time he proved it. Avalon challenges Cutler to a match to prove that he isn’t the worst wrestler in AEW.

Match 4
Ryzin & Angel Perez vs The Lucha Brothers
(referee: Rick Knox)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Penta El Zero M pins Angel Perez after an assisted double-underhook piledriver
Time: 2:53

Match Thoughts
A fun squash. Penta and Rey were all over the place, and as always, it was fun to watch them destroy some guys.

Ring Area
After the match, Eddie Kingston comes out with The Butcher and The Blade. Kingston says he and his team will dominate the Casino Battle Royale, and one of them will win it. The Butcher indicates that he will win, but the Lucha Bros. don’t like that. Kingston calms everyone down and brings them all in for a group hug. As they embrace, Kingston looks directly at the camera and winks.

Match 5
KiLynn King vs Ivelisse w/ Diamantè
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Ivelisse wins via pinfall after a Code Red
Time: 4:49

Match Thoughts
Good match. KiLynn King is noticeably bigger and taller than Ivelisse, but Ivelisse never felt like the underdog. Ivelisse took the attack to King, and even though King fought back fairly well, Ivelisse looked great as she picked King apart.

Match 6
Shawn Dean & Brandon Bullock vs Alex “3” Reynolds & John “4” Silver w/ Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, Preston Vance, Alan Angels, Anna Jay
(referee: Mike Posey)

Show/Hide Results

Result: John Silver pins Brandon Bullock with a double-team front-flip DDT
Time: 5:40

Match Thoughts
Good match. Shawn Dean looked good throughout the match, but Brandon Bullock did not seem too eager to try very hard in this match. Bullock got isolated by Dark Order, and it was fun watching Dark Order’s increasingly impressive tag team continuity.

Backstage
Dasha Gonzalez informs Brandon Cutler of Peter Avalon’s challenge from earlier in the night. Cutler accepts the challenge.

Match 7
Luther vs Darby Allin
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Darby Allin wins via pinfall after the Coffin Drop
Time: 4:29

Match Thoughts
Good match. Luther went after Allin’s knee right away, and that was the theme of the match. Allin was hobbled the entire time, but that did allow him to fight an uphill battle like he often does. This was good, and it sets up Allin for a possible disadvantage in the Casino Battle Royale with his bad knee.

Match 8
Dark Order’s 5 & 10 w/ Anna Jay, Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds vs Natural Nightmares w/ Allie
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Dustin Rhodes pins Alan “5” Angels after the Final Reckoning
Time: 8:03

Match Thoughts
Good match. Dark Order looked really good, and they managed to split up Rhodes and Marshall for most of the match. Unfortunately for them, Rhodes and Marshall starting pulling themselves together late in the match. This was fun and competitive, and it was a nice preview for the 8-man tag match coming up on Saturday.

Show Impressions
This was a fine Dark. It wasn’t as long as some recent episodes, and it gave a nice preview of soe of the matches (the battle royale and the 8-man tag).

Match of the Night
Dark Order vs Natural Nightmares
This was probably the most competitive match, and it felt the most important tonight.
