Result: Jay Briscoe pins Moses after Froggy Bow
Time: 9:41 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. The Brisoces looked really good tonight. Moses and Kaun seem like they’re good, but Jay and Mark Briscoe really highlighted the difference in experience between the two teams tonight. The Briscoes dominated most of the match, and they did it with smart teamwork and efficient individual efforts. SOS had one big burst of offense led by the surprising agility of Moses, but after weathering the storm, the Briscoes took control of the match right back. This was a fun match, and I imagine it was a good learning experience for Moses and Kaun.

After the match, EC3 leaves the commentary table and walks over to the entrance aisle. After the Broscoes and SOS adhere to the code of honor, the Briscoes encounter EC3 in the aisle. EC3 doesn’t move as Jay and Mark walk past him.

A look at Shane Taylor and Kenny King heading into their match tonight. Taylor feels like he has to get past Kenny King to truly move on from his past. Kenny King feels like ROH is treating him unfairly. He also says tonight’s match against Shane Taylor will not be a passing of the torch.

Match 2
Kenny King vs Shane Taylor
(referee: Joe Mandak)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Shane Taylor wins via pinfall after a belly-to-belly piledriver
Time: 10:14 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Kenny King started off well by using his speed advantage, but he let Taylor get in too close. Taylor hit King with a strong forearm to the face, and that changed the entire complexion of the match. Taylor got King in the corner and kept hitting him, and King was never the same after that. King fought back, but Taylor was able to take whatever King could dish out. Taylor kept hitting big moves and wore King down which led to a nice finish. This was a strong match for Taylor, and it is probably going to be a good story point for King and his disgruntled attitude.

Show Impressions
I enjoyed this show. I really enjoyed how they built up the Taylor/King match. The videos prior to the match told me everything I needed to know to get invested, and it did it very well. I cared about the match and who won, and that made the already good action even better.

Match of the Night
Kenny King vs Shane Taylor
This was nice, meaningful match from two guys who know each other very well.
