The final RAW before Wrestlemania featured some decent moments yet some odd choices heading into the biggest show of the year.
RAW coasts towards Wrestlemania with a show that added very little to any of the ongoing story lines, but a show that did have a few nice moments.
Rollins looks for revenge on McIntyre, Batista explains himself (sort of), Dana Brooke gets a title shot (sort of), Beth Phoenix makes a challenge, Kurt Angle faces Chad Gable, and more on an okay episode of RAW.
Batista crashes Ric Flair’s birthday celebration on an episode of RAW that also featured Lio Rush challenging Finn Balor for the IC Title, Becky Lynch again breaking her suspension, Aleister Black and Ricochet teaming up against the RAW Tag Champs, and the return of Roman Reigns.
Rousey and Natalya team to take on Banks and Bayley, Heavy Machinery debuts in a RAW ring, The Revival get another title shot, Finn Balor takes on a giant, Rollins and McIntyre battle, and more on an okay but underwhelming episode of RAW.
Braun Strowman’s antics cost him, but four men are eager to take advantage of Strowman’s mistake. Also, The IC Title is up for grabs in a triple threat, the women’s tag title belts are revealed, Rousey and Banks try to work together, the Riott Squad picks a fight with a surprise opponent, and more on a mostly good episode of RAW.
Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins brawl, but Seth Rollins still wants Dean Ambrose. John Cena returns to RAW, but Drew McIntyre has been waiting for him. Alexa Bliss has a talk show, but it’s hijacked by Rousey, Banks, and Jax. The Revival want lumberjack justice, but they can’t seem to catch a break. Strowman wants a face to face with Lesnar, but Lesnar has other plans. Plus more!
Apollo Crews earns a big opportunity, Ronda Rousey gets pissed, Seth Rollins gets ruthless, Ziggler and McIntyre battle in a steel cage, and more on a good episode of RAW.
This Christmas Eve edition of RAW featured some pretty fun moments and two fine title matches, though in the end it felt a little inconsequential.
The final two teams of the Mixed Match Challenge are determined when Mahalica faces Apollo Crews and Bayley, and Fabulous Truth takes on Awe-Ska in the final weekly episode of season two.
Seth Rollins takes a stand against Baron Corbin an ends up defending his IC Title in a TLC match less than a week before he has to face Dean Ambrose in another TLC match.
While it did give us more of the same from previous RAWs, there were at least some brighter points on this show compared to last week.
The playoffs start as the four remaining teams from RAW battle to determine who will go on to the semifinals of the Mixed Match Challenge.
RAW was a tough watch this week, saved pretty much only by Seth Rollins’ most recent Intercontinental Title open challenge.
